Crystal Lake
Crystal Lake is located north of Decatur off of AR 59 on Crystal Lake Drive. This 59 acre lake is a small, quiet lake that allows small motorized boats, kayaking, canoeing, paddleboarding, and fishing. There is a boat dock, and a floating dock there for public use, and if you are looking for a lake view lunch, there are picnic tables available as well.
The lake is a no wake lake and boats are not allowed to go over 5 miles per hour. The depth of the lake is anywhere from 10 feet to 35 feet deep, and has bedrock with some sandy timber flats. The aquatic vegetation is coontail. When fishing, use of common carp is prohibited. The fish forage consists of minnows and bluegill, and the major sportfish are large mouth bass, bluegill, crappie, and channel catfish.
The lake allows all that come to enjoy nature as Arkansas is well known for.
The lake is maintained by the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, but the City of Decatur maintains the grounds on the southside of the lake.
