Welcome to the City of Decatur, Arkansas where working together we can do awesome things!
The City of Decatur is a small community that is tucked away in the rolling foothills of the Ozark Mountains where two state highways intersect. The town has a population of approximately 1799 and is approximately 4.5 square miles of land and water. Most of the town is made up of local businesses that are native to the community except for a few chains such as Dollar General and Farmer's Cooperative. The local industries are Simmons Prepared Foods, FNA (Powerwashers), and Wellness Pets.
The community does offer seven (7) parks which includes a walking trail, disc golf, baseball fields, playground equipment, a public swimming pool, pickleball courts, picnic areas, and Crystal Lake which is owned and maintained by the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission. Every year the Decatur Chamber of Commerce hosts the annual Decatur BBQ in Veterans Park.
If you are in need of medical help, there is a medical clinic owned and operated by Ozark Community Hospital.
